May God bless you with discomfort
At easy answers, half-truths,
And superficial relationships
So that you may live deep
Within your heart.
May God bless you with anger
At injustice, oppression,
And exploitation of people,
So that you may work for justice,
Freedom, and peace.
May God bless you with tears
To shed for those who suffer pain,
Rejection, hunger, and war,
So that you may reach out your
Hand to comfort them and
To turn their pain into joy.
And may God bless you with
Enough foolishness
To believe that you can make
A difference in the world,
To that you can so what others
Claim cannot be done
To bring justice and kindness to
All our children and the poor.
Amen

That is really beautiful and inspiring. I might do a little copy and paste :).
Go ahead...I copied it from a bookmark i was given at a women's desert thing at church.
Beautiful sarcasm! I should make flyers and pass this out to people when they complain. Maybe I'll tattoo it on my arm to remind me...
I almost forgot about that... I am going to see if I can find my copy! Thanks for the post.
Brit - I love this, particularly the part about superficial relationships and craving friendships with depth. It's so true that without Christ, this is an impossible feat. Though, we don't get to see eachother and play phone tag on a constant basis, I'm very thankful for the depth of your friendship...I hope we can spend some great time together when I'm home.
