Right now I have less than two hours to celebrate the first day of the last year of my twenties. I can't believe that I am now 29. Who would have thought that 29 comes so soon after 28? I think I will lament for this last year, so when next year hits and I turn the big three zero I will have already mourned the passing of my youth.
Years ago, when I was in college I took this class (can't remember the name right now; it's probably the old age affecting my memory) where we had an assignment to set goals for ourselves. And being the ambitious whipper snapper that I was way back then (a much lighter and more fit whipper snapper) I set a goal to run a marathon before I turned 30. In case you didn't know I have not yet run that marathon and just in case you are bad at math and did not remember what birthday I just celebrated, I only have this year to run my marathon. So will I run? Geesh I don't know? I don't think the young me really knew a marathon equaled 26.2 miles or maybe I wouldn't have set such a lofty goal.
To be continued...

Hope you had a happy birtday Brit! Seems like the cool new thing to do, the whole marathon thing. I bet if you did it you would run into someone you know... literally!
Okay, come on out to Chicago and run the marathon in October! I might walk it with you, but then again, I'm a few years older than you - you young whipper snapper. Hope you had an excellent birthday - the first 29th birthday of many to come.
Really? I have not heard of anyone else planning to run a marathon. I feel so out of the loop. Unless you are refering to yourself, kel are preparing to run?
Marathon? Me? No, but Dale may sometime. Also, I had read Sherry's goal, but it was a tri-athalon. And some friends that I have met at church. I just thought there was something that I did not know about. I think it's cool! I would stand and cheer for you!
I can guarantee you one thing... it won't be me you are running into at the marathon. Unless of course you stumble off course and into the cheering section. Glad that it wasn't one of the classes I had with you and that we didn't make a pact together. :) 30 is fast approaching for me. Best of luck on the marathon decision.
come on, professional blogger...i have been waiting to read a new one!! i think i am a little obsessive; I usually check it every day...
